Meet “Miss Steph”

Meet Stephanie Sorrentino, MS CCC-SLP, a dedicated, licensed speech-language pathologist with a profound commitment to pediatric communication, feeding, and swallowing. Stephanie's journey is marked by continuous learning and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on her clients' lives.

Stephanie graduated with her Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology from Eastern Illinois University. She completed her Clinical Fellowship Year with EBS Healthcare Northwestern Medicine's Department of Rehabilitation Services, where she gained valuable clinical experience across various settings.

Stephanie’s expertise is in neurodevelopmental conditions, including autism spectrum disorders and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder. She is a certified DIR Floortime provider, believes in responsive feeding approaches, and is SOS feeding trained. Stephanie is ALWAYS learning. Stephanie's pursuit of excellence doesn't stop at certifications. She is currently on the path to Board Certification in Swallowing and Swallowing Disorders, demonstrating her unwavering commitment to staying at the forefront of her field.

Stephanie serves on the Special Events Committee for the Chicago Autism Network, a local non-profit organization that funds therapy services for children with autism. She is also an adjunct faculty member at Saint Xavier University’s Ludden Speech-Hearing Clinic, where she guides and supervises students in clinical practicum. Stephanie loves to be a resource for other disciplines and enjoys presenting, teaching, and consulting.

Beyond her professional roles, Stephanie loves spending time with friends and family. She currently resides in Naperville, Illinois, with her husband Trent, and her two (very naughty) dachshunds, Rizzo and Pasqualie. In her spare time, she enjoys exercising, DIY projects, bargain shopping, and socializing!
